The Session Court of Patiala House Court granted bail to climate activist Disha Ravi arrested in a toolkit case on Tuesday and Aditional Session Judge Dharmender Rana grants bail to her on furnishing a bail bond of Rs 100,000 with two sureties of like amount, reports ANI. Ravi, 22, was arrested from Bengaluru on February 14. Ravi was released from the Tihar jail later on Tuesday
Ravi was arrested after police alleged she helped edit a so-called toolkit, which offers basic advice including joining on-the-ground farmers’ protests and showing support on social media. The Toolkit was shared by Sweden climate activist Greta Thunberg in a tweet in which she had expressed solidarity with the ongoing farmers’ protest in India. The Delhi Police decided to investigate the toolkit after Thunberg’s tweet.
Judge Dharmender Rana in the order said, “Considering the scanty & sketchy investigation, I do not find any palpable reason to breach the rule of bail for a 22-year-old girl who has absolutely no criminal antecedents,” reports ANI.
Ravi cannot leave India without the court’s permission, the court has said as a condition to granting bail to the 22-year-old.
Jacob and Mukul joined the probe by the Delhi Police on Monday, however, they were granted bail pre-arrest by a court. The Delhi Police has alleged that the toolkit was a part of a global conspiracy to create unrest and trigger violence in India in the garb of the farmers’ protest against the agri laws.

The Delhi Police has said, as quoted by AFP, “The main aim of the toolkit was to create misinformation and disaffection against the lawfully enacted government.”
