The agitation by farmers against the Centre’s farm laws entered Day 14 on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Union Minister Amit Shah met farmer union leaders in a bid to break the deadlock. According to PTI sources, 13 farmer leaders were called for the meeting that began after 8 pm and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Food Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Parkash, who are leading Centre’s talks with the agitating farmers were also present there. After the meeting, Hannan Mollah of the All India Kisan Sabha said that the Centre is not ready to roll back the farm laws, adding that no meeting will be held between farmers and the government on Wednesday, reported news agency ANI.
