The deadly surge in COVID-19 cases has overburdened hospitals, causing a dire shortage in beds, ICUs, medical oxygen, vaccines and other essentials.

Earlier today, 12 people, including a doctor, died in Delhi’s Batra Hospital after it ran out of oxygen supply. The hospital told the Delhi High Court it ran out of oxygen for an hour and 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, the court called out the Centre over the shorage in oxygen supply, saying “Water has gone above the head. Now we mean business,” adding that it “will arrange everything now.”
