As the count of new coronavirus cases in Delhi decline, Deputy chief minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia on Friday said that schools will re-open for classes 9 and 11 from February 5, news agency PTI reported. He added that colleges and diploma institutions will also re-open on the same date.
Earlier, schools had re-opened for classes 10 and 12 on January 18.
Schools in the national capital were shut down on March 16, right before India was placed under coronavirus-induced lockdown from March 25.
Since there will be physical attendance, the Centre had introduced certain guidelines that should be followed to the T.
However, it must be noted that physical attendance is not compulsory. In case the students want to be present in person, the written consent of parents is a must.
