The Delhi Police and farmer unions after a meeting on Saturday arrived at a conclusion, allowing the farmers to hold the ‘Kisan Gantantra Parade’ on January 26.

“I want to appeal to the farmers participating in the parade to maintain discipline and follow the instruction issued by the Committee, said Gurnam Singh Chaduni of the Bharatiya Kisan Union.

Earlier, Agricultural Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that the farmers are expected to convey their decision on the government’s proposal of putting the controversial laws on hold for two years on Saturday. The 11th round of talks between the Centre and the farmer unions on Friday remained inconclusive. The suggestion itself faced slack from the unions, who alleged that the government conditioned the next round of talks on the basis of the former accepting the proposal.
