Former Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday
tested positive for COVID-19, and blasted in the following hours the headline
of a news article for not its ambiguous tone on the efficacy of COVID-19
vaccines.
He attached the link of the article, published by a leading
newspaper publication, in his tweet.
“This headline makes it seem like the vaccine failed &
is exactly the sort of messaging that has people doubting vaccine efficacy. The
vaccine takes 2-3 weeks to take effect & also the vaccine does not prevent
COVID but helps prevent serious illness”, the former CM wrote, slamming the
headline of the referred article.

Upon query, however, the article was not found, as the
quoted post was later deleted.
Earlier in the day, Abdullah confirmed the news of him
testing positive on Twitter, saying he tried his “best to dodge this damn virus
but it’s finally caught up with me”, adding that he was completely asymptomatic
and was going through self-isolation at home.

self-isolating at home & monitoring my parameters like oxygen saturation
levels etc”, he tweeted.
