Bollywood buffs, it seems like 2022 is the year for you. Bollywood is all set to release star studded films next year, packed with drama, laughs, cries, and of course, peppy dance numbers. The upcoming year will witness big cinematic releases that will certainly force you to load up on buckets of popcorn and gallons of soda.

Check out this list of some of the most awaited Bollywood releases of the year-

1.  Pathan- Directed by Siddharth Anand, this action-packed film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles. The film is eagerly anticipated by Shah Rukh’s fans, who last saw him in the 2018 film Zero. Many speculate that the film will have some exceptional action sequences that will keep viewers glued to their screens. The film will be released in the later months of 2022.

2.  Tiger 3- Starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles, the third instalment of Tiger is scheduled to reportedly release in the second half of the year. The film will also star Shah Rukh Khan, who will play the role of a RAW agent, making Tiger 3 a Khan-packed action film.

3.  Laal Singh Chaddha- Not leaving any Bollywood Khans behind, this adaptation of Forrest Gump stars Amir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles. The film is directed by Advait Chandan and jointly produced by former couple Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao.

4.  Brahmastra- This Ayan Mukerji film will star the romantic Bollywood duo Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. Brahmastra is the first part of the trilogy of a superhero epic. The film is inspired by Indian mythology, specifically the Indian deity ‘Shiva’.

5.  Dhaakad- This Kangana Ranaut starrer is a spy espionage thriller that revolves around Agent Agni, a feisty spy who will enthuse viewers with her disguises. The film also stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta. The film was originally set to release in 2021 but faced some delays. It is now scheduled for early 2022.

The year 2022 will also see other big releases, including KGF Chapter 2 starring Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon, RRR starring Alia Bhatt and Ram Charan, Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt, Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar, and Heropanti 2 starring Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria.
