RCB now have six wins and five defeats
in 11 matches. The players are also pleased with this much-needed win. The
victory definitely eased their tension and the atmosphere in
the dressing room was electrifying.

Following the win, in a video shared by

Glenn Maxwell, who was run out on 3 off
3 balls, was captured on the screen talking to Virat Kohli and they were engaged
in friendly banter. Maxwell teased the former RCB skipper over his run-out from
the game, jokingly saying he won’t bat with the right-handed batter anymore.

Maxwell removed Robin Uthappa and Ambati
Rayudu and gave away just 22 runs in his quota of four overs. “That was a good
win, so important (in the context of IPL 2022 playoff race). The greatest
injured player in the history of the game (laughs). 2/22 in four overs,” Kohli

After the match, RCB Director of Cricket
Mike Hesson heaped praise on Maxwell for taking two important wickets and
pushing CSK on the back foot. “He was exceptional, obviously, he got a bit of a
niggle. But we knew how important he was not just to the left-handers but also
to getting hit to the big side by the right-handers. He has got good control of
length, that’s important,” stated Hesson.
