The Gold prices on Multi commodity exchange (MCX), marginally decreased on Thursday, October 14, 2021. The Gold futures were trading at Rs 47,820.00 down 96 points or -0.2% per 10 gms in the Indian market. In global markets, gold was priced at 1,788.59 USD per Troy ounce. Platinum declined -0.39% to $1,020.00 while Palladium dropped -0.19% to $2,110.50. Silver futures were trading at Rs 62,531.00 down 356 points or -0.57% per Kg.

Gold 22 carat price in Delhi today is Rs 46,310 per 10 grams. The spot Gold rate in India today is Rs 46,300 for 22-carat gold per 10 grams. In the previous trade, the precious metal had settled at Rs 46,290 per 10 grams while the gold rate in Mumbai is Rs 46,300 per 10 gram of 22-carat, according to details provided by the good returns website.

Gold has struggled this year after hitting a record high of ₹56,200 last year amid a stronger US dollar and hopes of faster economic recovery amid vaccination drive.

Global equity markets also retreated today as investors grew increasingly concerned about a growing energy crisis and spiking inflation. Brent crude, the international oil standard, climbed 0.61 percent to USD 83.69 per barrel. Rupee gains 12 paise to 75.25 against US dollar in early trade.

Wall Street rose on Wednesday in choppy trade as investors saw an imminent end to ultra-loose U.S. monetary policy as a vote of confidence in the economy, while two-year Treasury yields hit 18-month highs on bets that policy tightening is in the offing, Reuters reported.
