Gold prices fell slightly on Wednesday after reaching two-week highs the previous day. However, uncertainties over the path of inflation aided the demand for safe haven.

Following a slide to a one-month low in the previous session, the robust dollar dented and climbed in benchmark US 10-year Treasury rates, putting pressure on demand for zero-yield gold.

Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) decreased marginally on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Gold futures were trading at Rs 51,025.00 per 10 gm, down 132 points or 0.26%, in the Indian market. Silver futures were trading at Rs 61,907.00 per kg, down 69 points or 0.11%.

In global markets, gold was priced at $1,862.58 per oz while Silver is priced at $22.05. Platinum was trading at $952.60 while palladium was trading at $2,013.53. 

In the spot market, the 22-carat gold was sold at Rs 50,060 per 10 grams while silver was priced at Rs 61,711 per kg on Tuesday according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

Copper futures were trading at Rs 777.90 down 0.43% while Natural Gas and Aluminium futures were trading at Rs 685.60 and Rs 241.75 per Kg respectively on MCX. 

Ten grams of 22-carat gold is being traded at Rs 47,760, in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Kolkata, according to the Good Returns website. The same quantity of gold is being sold in Chennai at Rs 48,360.

The 24-carat gold rates, 10 grams of the much-in-demand metal is being retailed at Rs 52,100 in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. The same amount of 24-carat purity is priced at Rs 52,760 in Chennai.

In Chandigarh and Surat, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being sold at Rs 47,910 and Rs 47,830 respectively. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is valued at Rs 52,250 in Chandigarh and Rs 52,170 in Surat.

In Mysore, Vishakhapatnam, and Bhubaneswar, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being vended at Rs 47,760. In regions such as Kerala, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, the same amount of 22-carat purity is also being purchased at Rs 47,760. However, 10 grams of 24-carat gold is rated at Rs 52,100 in all the above areas.

In Nashik and Madurai, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being purchased at Rs 47,810 and Rs 48,360 respectively. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is priced at Rs 52,150 in Nashik and Rs 52,760 in Madurai.

In Ahmedabad and Nagpur, 10 grams of 22-carat gold is being sold at Rs 47,830 and Rs 47,810. The same quantity of 24-carat purity is being purchased at Rs 52,170 in Ahmedabad and Rs 52,150 in Nagpur.
