Kate Walsh’s
return as Dr Addison Montgomery had been announced before the premiere of Grey’s
Anatomy season 18. The first two episodes of the season are out and the fans
are yet to see a glimpse of their favourite doctor’s return. However, it seems like they will not have to
wait much longer.

ABC aired a
promo for the next episode of the longest running medical drama. It hints at
Addison’s return to the show, who is set to appear in multiple episodes this
season following her exit as a series regular in the third season.

A voiceover
in the short video could be heard saying, “Next Thursday, guess who’s back”
which is followed by Addison approaching a group of residents. She introduces
herself to the newbies, but guessing by their reactions they are well aware of her
identity.

The surgeon
tells the group, “I’m Dr. Addison
Montgomery, and you must be the group that’s been screwing up the
program.”

If that isn’t enough then Kate Walsh
teased her return as well via her Twitter account. She tweeted, “Good morning,
g’day, good evening, kitten chops! The doctor is indeed IN ? I’m so ridiculously excited for you all to see Addison’s
return to #GreysAnatomy”

It will be
exciting to see Addison and Meredith’s meeting after Derek Shepherd’s death. While
their relationship has always been respectful, the fans are expecting a new
dynamic between the two stars.

Walsh’s
character first appeared in the show in Season 1 Derek Shepherd’s estranged wife,
the man was Meredith’s love interest in the show. Her introduction to Meredith
is something that the fans remember very will till date.

She became
a regular soon enough in season two and three. She left the show to perform a
lead role in the spin-off “Private Practice” which stayed on air from 2007 to
2013.

The 53-year-old
actress has appeared on several shows including 13 Reasons Why, The Umbrella
Academy and Emily in Paris.
