An
apartment complex in Gurugram’s Sector 67 has been declared a COVID-19
containment zone after over 20 residents on the premises were found to be infected with
the virus, reported news agency ANI quoting district health department.

“We set up a test camp here after three positive cases reported and on further examination over 20 people were tested COVID-19 positive after which we declared the condominium a containment zone,” J Prakash, district health department told ANI.
Prakash further informed that more testing are being conducted in the area.
A similar incident was reported in Bengaluru last week when two apartments were declared COVID containment zone after more than 100 residents were tested coronavirus positive.

A steep rise in COVID-19 cases have been reported in the past few days with Maharashtra and Bengaluru being the largest contributor of infections.
Meanwhile, India will its second phase of COVID-19 inoculation process from March 1 onwards. Individual of age 60 and above as well as those of age 45 and above with comorbidities will be administered COVID jabs in this round.
