The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced India‘s playing XI for tomorrow’s World Test Championship final against New Zealand. Middle-order batsman Hanuma Vihari and pacer Mohammed Siraj were among those dropped from the 15-member squad announced on Tuesday. 

Meanwhile Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah, who did not play in the final Test against England in March, have returned for the June 18-22 final.  

India have gone with their veteran spin all-rounder duo of Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin for the final, while Ishant Sharma makes the list as the third seamer alongside Bumrah and Shami.

Youngster Shubman Gill will open the batting alongside Rohit Sharma, with the expected trio of Cheteshwar Pujara, skipper Virat Kohli and his deputy Ajinkya Rahane next in line. Rishabh Pant will keep the wickets.

The final will be played from June 18-22 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Southampton.
