India’s Manasa Varanasi is set to represent India at the Miss World 2021 pageant to be held at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico on December 16. And it seems like she has already impressed the judges as her BWAP project made it to the Top 10 at Miss World 2021.

Manasa shared the news on her social media account. “Heart overflowing with gratitude! India, we made it to the Top 10 of Beauty with a Purpose round at Miss World 2021,” she wrote.
Manasa has been working with less-fortunate kids over the past few years and aspired to much more after learning the struggle many children go through in our country, especially her state, Telangana. With her ‘Beauty With a Purpose’ project 10-9-8, Manasa sheds light on children’s lives.

It has been associated with the Hyderabad police for their campaign ‘We Can,’ which tends towards preventing and stopping child sexual abuse in the state.
The BWAP project has been classified into three pillars — the first step is to create awareness of the child helpline hotline 1098. The second pillar focuses on the challenges faced to respond in time to a rescue mission due to the lack of resources. And the third pillar is closest to her heart and revolves around the rescued children. It promotes the safety and security of children.

Her BWAP camping has managed to rescue many kids from vulnerable conditions and she hopes to replicate the model across the country and then the world in the near future.
Apart from India, the other nine countries that have made it to the Top 10 list are Kenya, England, Czech Republic, Sri Lanka, Philippines, USA, Madagascar, South Africa, and Nepal.
The reigning beauty, Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica, will crown her next successor.
