KL Rahul will lead India in the five-match T20I series against South Africa at home, with Rishabh Pant as his deputy. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squads for the home series vs Temba Bavuma and co and the only Test vs England.

The likes of pace sensation Umran Malik , Arshdeep Singh and opener Ruturaj Gaikwad got their maiden India call-up for the South Africa series, which starts on June 9. Dinesh Karthik, who put up an impressive show in IPL 2022, is also named in the squad. Hardik Pandya returns for India.

India will face England in one Test match at Lord’s from July 1 to 5. The team will be led by Rohit Sharma, with KL Rahul as his deputy.
One of the key additions to the squad is Cheteshwar Pujara. He and Ajinkya Rahane were dropped from the Indian squad for the series against Sri Lanka. The 34-year-old scored a century and two double tons in his County Championship Division Two stint with Sussex. Opener KS Bharat and Prasidh Krishna have also been named in the squad. Umesh Yadav marks his return.
