As India recovered the 10-wicket defeat they suffered against the same opponents in last year’s T20 World Cup in the UAE, Kohli put up a 113-run fifth-wicket stand with all-rounder Hardik Pandya, taking on feared pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf in the slog overs.
The skipper Rohit Sharma and vice-captain KL Rahul will also be hoping to have a huge score under their belts after getting out for similar scores of 4 against Pakistan. While Kohli will firmly remain in the Netherlands’ plans for the Indian hitters.
After being passed over in favour of Dinesh Karthik and Ravichandran Ashwin in the match against Pakistan, India might also be tempted to give players like Rishabh Pant and Yuzvendra Chahal a chance against the Netherlands.
