India
are all set to take on Sri Lanka in the day/night Test at the M Chinnaswamy
Stadium in Bengaluru from Saturday. In the first Test, India defeated Sri Lanka by an innings
and 222 runs. The Test ended in just three days. In the first Test, Ravindra
Jadeja scored unbeaten 175 and picked up 9 wickets, including a fifer. When
Jadeja achieved a rare milestone, veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin surpassed
Kapil Dev’s tally of 434 Test wickets and Virat Kohli played his 100th Test match.

As
India put up a stellar performance in the first Test, it will be
interesting to see whether India make any changes to the XI or not.
Rohit
Sharma: Captain Rohit Sharma made his Test captaincy debut with a comprehensive
victory. However, as a batter he failed to impress, scoring only 29 in India’s
first innings in Mohali Test.

Mayank
Agarwal: In the first Test, he scored 33 but failed to capitalise on a good
start. In the second Test at home turf, Mayank Agarwal is expected to post a
big knock.
Hanuma
Vihari: A resolute batter, Vihari is a promising face in the middle order. His
ability to block and rotate the strike made him a strong contender for a position
in the team.

Virat
Kohli: The former skipper fell for 45 in the first Test. He looked fluent but
failed to capitalise on a solid start. His search for the 71st international
hundred is also getting longer. But going by his form it could be expected that
Kohli would hit a hundred soon.
Rishabh
Pant: The wicketkeeper-batter missed his hundred by four runs. But he will
surely look to reach the three-figure mark in the next game.

Shreyas
Iyer: His three straight fifties in the T20I series means the team management
would like to persist with him and hope he continues to score.
Ravindra
Jadeja: The star of India’s comprehensive victory in Mohali, Jadeja will look
to build some momentum with another good performance in the second Test.

Ravichandran
Ashwin: The veteran spinner has only milestones to achieve in his career. He is
already India’s second-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket. Ashwin surpassed
Kapil Dev and will look to scalp more wickets in his pursuit to complete 500
Test wickets.
Jayant
Yadav: The third spinner in the team, Jayant Yadav could not justify his
selection in the first Test. The all-rounder will look to make a point for
himself in the second Test.

Mohammed
Shami: The experienced pacer picked up three wickets over the two innings in
Mohali and will look to perform in a similar fashion.
Jasprit
Bumrah: The 28-year-old pacer caused big trouble to Sri Lankan batters. He will
continue to do so in the next game.
