The Indian Premier League (IPL) has a habit of finding raw
talents who can make it big on the bigger stage. And as the cash-rich tournament is all set to lift off on Saturday evening in the UAE, young and raw talents will aim to
make their presence felt amid a daunting roster. Be it Rajasthan
Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Rider or Mumbai Indians,
they have always produced performers who have made a mark for themselves with
wonderful and long-lasting feats.

Here is a list of five young players who will look to
impress in the upcoming IPL tournament:

Priyam Garg
(SunRisers Hyderabad)

Priyam Garg is a right-handed middle-order batsman who made
his domestic debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy. Owing to
performance in the domestic circuit, he was appointed captain for the U-19
World Cup India team. He not only led the side worthy of a performance but also
let his bat do the talking

Having been bought by the SunRisers Hyderabad for an amount
of Rs 1.9 crore, Garg will be raring to go and make a mark for himself.

Ravi Bishnoi (Kings
XI Punjab)

Ravi Bishnoi was bought by the Kings XI Punjab for a sum of Rs 2 crore in the IPL 2020 auction. The young right-arm leg spinner made his
debut in the 2018-19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and from there it was no turning
back for him. The young spinning sensation impressed with his bowling in the U-19
World Cup as he finished as the leading wicket-taker.

With Mujeeb ur Rahman already in their rank, Bishnoi’s
addition in the KXIP squad could prove to be real solid spin attack in the
tournament.

Yashashvi Jaiswal
(Rajasthan Royals)

India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal was ‘Player of the Series’ at the
U-19 World Cup 2020. Having finished the tournament with 400 runs in six
matches, he proved his mettle repeatedly with mature batting coupled
with occasional attacking. One of the most talked about youngsters heading into
the IPL 2020 auction, he was acquired by Rajasthan Royals for an amount of Rs 2.4
crore.

Jaiswal is also the youngest cricketer to score a double
hundred in List A cricket. His ability to bowl leg spin, makes him a valuable
possession.

Tom Banton (Kolkata
Knight Riders)

Tom Banton will be hoping to have an impressive IPL debut
after his exploits in the Big Bash League. With an ability to hit the ball far
and long, Banton has made a mark for himself in the T20 circuit in the last
couple of years.

The 21-year-old English keeper was bought by the Kolkata
Knight Riders for a base price of Rs 1 crore.

Banton’s ability to play shot all around the park helped him
score a total of 223 runs in the seven matches he played in his Big Bash League
debut season.

Although he has played only three T20Is for England, he has
scored at a strike rate of 164.70.

With the departure of Chris Lynn, KKR will surely turn its
attention towards Banton and will hope for the batsman to produce some
fireworks at the starting of the innings.

Kartik Tyagi
(Rajasthan Royals)

Kartik Tyagi was one of the stars in India’s bowling attack
in the U-19 World Cup. Not only did he dismantle the Australian top-order but
ended up with a four-wicket haul in the quarterfinal tie. Having been bought
for an amount of Rs 1.3 crore, Tyagi could be a good fit alongside Jofra Archer in
the Rajasthan Royals bowling attack.

With an ability to move the ball both ways at a speed of
140kmph, he could prove to be daunting task for the batsmen in the tournament.
