Gujarat’s only loss came against Sunrisers Hyderabad, who had previously defeated CSK, but they rebounded back with a 37-run victory over Rajasthan Royals. This will also be CSK’s first game at the venue since 2018 when they won only two of their eight IPL games there. Gujarat has won only one game this season at Pune.

Ravindra Jadeja will be looking to replicate his team’s success from their previous game, in which both their hitters and bowlers excelled. Every game is now critical for the Chennai Super Kings.

This will be the teams’ first IPL clash, and both will be keen to win and prove their supremacy.
