Viral Bengali song Kacha Badam has made a steady place in the Instagram trends list. The song is sung by a peanut seller in West Bengal identified as Bhuban Badyakar.

It all began when someone recorded Badyakar’s unique way of selling peanuts on the street. As the video went viral, netizens took the catchy tune and remixed it into a peppy track that is now a favourite for Instagrammers.

The song was given a Haryanvi twist when rapper-singer Amit Dhull collaborated with Badyakar to release a version. The song released by Bajewala Records Haryanvi shows Badyakar along with Amit Dhull and Nisha Bhatt singing the song. While the Bengali lyrics of the song were written by Badyakar, the Haryanvi part was composed by Devil Kagsaria.

The song has been viewed over 1.9 million times since the time of upload. Netizens liked the new version of it. While one netizen wrote, “Didn’t understand a single word but his voice is amazing and I am enjoying the music,” another wrote, “I am listening to this song 100 times.”

“The energy behind the song is through which he had been earning his livelihood for years. This guy was selling peanuts but with his best possible effort and heart. Whatever you do, become the best at it,” said a third user.

The Kacha Badam song has gone international as netizens from all over the world, including celebs, have shaken a leg to it. From Tanzanian internet sensation Kili Paul to a South Korean mother-daughter duo, the song is now a favourite of netizens.
