With the newly-found role of a disruptor, actor Kangana Ranaut has been commenting on a range of issues starting from nepotism to Ram Mandir. The actor sparked yet another controversy, with her remarks on the Farm Bill, which was cleared by the Rajya Sabha on Sunday amid great ruckus in the House.

Responding to one of the tweets of PM Modi which assured the farmers that the system of MSP will remain, Kangana wrote, “Dear Prime Minister, someone who is sleeping can be woken up, someone’s misunderstandings can be cleared. But how can you make a difference to somebody who is pretending to sleep? These are the same terrorists who indulged in bloodshed even as no citizen lost citizenship due to CAA.”

The actor, who left it to the imagination of people as to who is referred to as ‘terrorist,’  soon faced backlash. Media reports and Twiterrati slammed Kangana for dubbing those protesting the Farm bill as a ‘terrorist’.

The actor soon clarified the seemingly ambiguous tweet and said, “People who spread misinformation and rumours about CAA that caused riots are the same people who are now spreading misinformation about Farmer’s bill and causing terror in the nation, they are terrorists. You very well know what I said but simply like to spread misinformation.”

She also said that if anyone can prove that she referred to the farmer’s as terrorist, she will apologise and leave the platform.

“Just like Shri Krishna’s Narayani Sena, Pappu has a Champu Sena, which fights only on the basis of rumours. This is my original tweet. If anyone can prove that I called farmers as terrorists, I will apologise and leave Twitter for forever,” she wrote.

This is not the first time the actor has landed in trouble for her ‘terrorist’ remarks. Earlier in April when Twitter had suspended the account of her sister Rangoli Chandel’s for hate speech, Kangana had said, “Here you can call Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah terrorists, but you can’t call the terrorists as terrorists.”
