According to media reports, Kansas City Chief’s Frank Clark was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department on Sunday. Clark was caught carrying a submachine gun in his vehicle.

“Mr. Clark was pulled over in the area of Grand and Adams for a vehicle code violation yesterday at about 9:20 p.m.,” a spokesperson said to CNN on Monday. “Officers noticed a bag with an Uzi sticking out at this time.”

Clark was arrested along with three other people who were travelling in his car. According to booking details provided by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Clark was booked into the county jail on Monday morning and released at 2:30 p.m. on a $35,000 bond.

Clark, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, will be in his seventh season in the NFL. He has been with the Chiefs for three years. In 2020, Clark was a member of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl-winning team. Clark spent four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks before joining the Chiefs.

The Chiefs are on a month-long break following their mandatory minicamp, which concluded on June 17. According to NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy, the league is aware of the matter, which will be reviewed under the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
