Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday tested positive
for COVID-19, after being administered the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine earlier on March 3.
Tweeting out, the Chief Minister informed the development, asking those who had been in contact with him recently to go into self-observation.

“I have been confirmed Covid +ve. Will get treated at the Government Medical College, Kozhikkode. Request those who have been in contact with me recently to go into self observation”, Vijayan tweeted out on Thursday.
Veena Vijayan, his daughter, and her husband P A Mohammed Riyas had earlier tested COVID-19 positive.

The CM, in recent weeks, had travelled across Kerala for campaigning ahead of assembly elections in the state.
