Continuing his tirade against the government over its handling of the coronavirus pandemic, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday sought to demolish the Modi administration’s ‘well-planned fight’ claim.

Rahul Gandhi, in his tweet, pointed towards the sluggish economy and job losses to highlight the government’s failure on all fronts.

“Modi Govt’s ‘well-planned fight’ against Covid has put India in an abyss of: 1. Historic GDP reduction of 24% 2. 12 crore jobs lost 3. 15.5 lac crores additional stressed loans 4. Globally highest daily Covid cases & deaths. But for GOI & media ‘sab changa si’” Gandhi tweeted.

The former Congress president’s remark was an apparent dig at Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement that ‘India is putting up a well-planned fight under PM Modi’s leadership’

“Coronavirus is an unprecedented challenge for us. But we are fighting against it in a well-planned manner under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the entire world has recognised our efforts,” Shah had said earlier this week.

The pandemic won’t be able to hold back Gujarat or India for long, the minister had said during an event in Gandhinagar.

Amit Shah himself recovered from coronavirus infection recently.
