Mohammed Shami trolled legendary Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar after England beat Pakistan by five wickets to win the T20 World Cup, 2022 at the MCG.
Shami responded to Shoaib Akhtar’s heartbreak emoji on Twitter. The Indian pacer tweeted, “Sorry brother, it’s called karma,” in response.
Following Team India’s 10-wicket loss to England at the Adelaide Oval in the second semifinal of the 2022 T20 World Cup, Akhtar slammed the team.

In a video posted on social media, he had said,” It’s a very embarrassing loss for India. They played terribly and they deserved to lose. They didn’t deserve to qualify for the finals. India were beaten very badly.”
He had further said,”Their bowling was exposed very badly. These conditions are helpful for fast bowling and India don’t have an express pacer. I don’t know why they didn’t play Yuzvendra Chahal in a single match. The team selection for India is confusing.”

Pakistan had given England a 138-run chase to win the cup. They did some brilliant bowling to defend the low score. However, Pakistan was left in a bind when its best pacer, Shaheen Afridi, was forced to leave the field due to an injury. England was successful in achieving the target with one over remaining.
England’s Sam Curran was named the game’s most outstanding bowler after getting three wickets in four overs while allowing just 12 runs. He was also ultimately declared as the Man of the Tournament.

All rounder Ben Stokes struck an important half-century to lead his team to their second T20 World Cup victory. England have now become the only team in history to hold both the T20 and ODI World Cup titles.
