Nawab Malik was born in Duswa, Uttar Pradesh, India,
on June 20, 1959. He is an Indian politician and the current Maharashtra
Minister for Minority Development, Aukaf, Skill Development, and
Entrepreneurship. He is the Nationalist Congress Party’s National Spokesperson
and Mumbai President, as well as a former Maharashtra Housing Minister.

He is married to Mehjabin and has four children. Faraz
(son), Nilofer (daughter), Sana Malik Shaikh (daughter), and Aamir (son).

He was nominated to the Maharashtra Legislative
Assembly in 1996, 1999, 2004 and from Nehru Nagar (Vidhan Sabha
constituency) and in 2009 from Anushakti Nagar (Vidhan Sabha constituency)
in Mumbai.

Nawab Malik is one of Maharashtra’s wealthiest as
well as one of the most popular cabinet ministers. Nawab Malik’s net worth is
estimated to be $1.5 million, according to Forbes, and Business
Insider.

He is listed among Maharashtra’s most popular cabinet
ministers.

A 62-year-old Minister of Maharashtra Minority Affairs was arrested on Wednesday in a money-laundering probe connected to
the Mumbai underworld’s activities.

Around 8 a.m., the NCP leader came at the ED office in
south Mumbai’s Ballard Estate district, where he gave a statement under the
Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

According to the sources, Mr Malik was then brought in
a car by ED personnel for a medical examination after 8 hours of interrogation.

Nawab Waved at the media and said “We will fight and win. We won’t
bow down,”

“Will
expose all,” he said, before being taken by ED officials in a vehicle for
medical check-up.

Nawab Malik later tweeted a video clip of him
making those remarks. His office also tweeted, “Main jhukega nahi! (won’t bow
down).”

The
ED conducted searches at numerous places last week in connection with the same
money-laundering case that the ED has recently taken up based on a case filed
by the NIA. In connection with the money laundering investigation, the late
Haseena Parkar, Dawood’s sister, had her home inspected.
