The Narcotics Control Bureau has accused actress Rhea Chakraborty of purchasing drugs for her actor boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput, who died two years ago. NCB submitted a fresh charge sheet with more than 30 names on it.

Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty‘s name has also been added to the list along with her own.

Atul Sarpande, a special public prosecutor, stated that the prosecution continued to bring charges against each and every defendant as set forth in the charge sheet submitted to the court.

The prosecution has asked the court to indict Rhea and Showik for consuming drugs as well as for obtaining and paying for them on behalf of the late actor Rajput.

According to the charge sheet, Rhea Chakraborty was purchasing and financing marijuana for Rajput. She was handing it over to the late actor and making payments on his behalf.

“Draft charges were submitted against Rhea Chakraborty before the Special NDPS court. She has been accused of receiving deliveries ganja. She was purchasing it from Samuel Miranda, Showik Chakraborty and Dipesh Sawant and others. After purchasing she used to keep it and later hand it over to the late actor. She made the payments for them in 2020. We have enough evidence against them,” an source revealed according to Business Standard.

Siddharth Pithani, the former flatmate of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, was granted bail earlier this month by the Bombay High Court in a drug case related to the actor’s death.

Following the passing of Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020, the NCB launched an investigation into a drug case. The CIA said that a number of narcotics cartels were linked to Bollywood celebrities.

A number of well-known actors, including Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh, Sara Ali Khan, and Shraddha Kapoor, were interrogated about the situation. Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan denied using narcotics.
