Vijay Deverakonda is an Indian actor and producer, who predominantly works in the Telugu cinema. The actor was born on May 9, 1989 in Achampet, present-day Telangana. He made his debut in a Rom-Com movie ‘Nuvvila’ and first gained popularity in 2015 after the release of ‘Yevade Subramanyam’, in which he was a supporting actor.

The actor has won several awards for his work, including Filmfare Awards for best actor and South Indian International Movie Award. His upcoming movie Liger’s teaser was going to release on his birthday on Sunday, but the makers have decided to wait due to the ongoing COVID surge.

– Arjun Reddy: The film was released on August 25, 2017. It is a romantic drama film written and directed by Sandeep Vanga. The movie stars Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles. It portrays the life of an alcoholic surgeon, who has anger issues and finds it difficult to manage his personal life. 

– Mahanati: It is a 2018 biographical dram film written and directed by Nag Ashwin. The film is about the life on Indian actress Savitri, and stars Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salman, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Akkineni as lead cast.

– Taxiwaala: The movie is a Telugu-language supernatural comedy thriller, which was directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The film was released in November 2018 and also became a box office blockbuster. It stars Vijay, Priyanka Jawalkar and Malavika Nair in lead roles. 

– Geetha Govindam: A Rom-Com Telugu film written and directed by Parasuram. The lead cast consists in the film are Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna. After its release on August 15, 2018, it went to become a huge commercial success.

– Dear Comrade: It is a Telugu-language romantic drama film, which was written and directed by Bharat Kamma. Dear Comrade also starred Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. The film was released on July 26, 2019 and became another addition in actor’s success.
