Taking a dig at Team India, Pakistan cricket fans wore jerseys with 152-0 written at the back during the T20 World Cup 2022 semifinal vs New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Babar Azam and co had defeated India by 10 wickets in the 2021 World Cup. They chased down a 152-run target in 17.5 overs.
Some fans at the SCG on Wednesday had jerseys with 152-0 written at the back.

In a pure coincidence, New Zealand also scored a total of 152/4 runs in the first innings. And Twitter users were quick to see the it.
Meanwhile, Pakistan were off the a flying start. Babar Azam was dropped on the first ball, and he capitalized on the lifeline given to him. New Zealand leaked 30 runs in the first two overs of the powerplay, 15 runs each off Trent Boult and Tim Southee. Pakistan finished the powerplay with 55 runs on board with the loss of no wickets, their best in the tournament.
Babar Azam then reached his first fifty of the tournament in 38 balls. Azam and Rizwan played freely and hit boundaries consistently.
Pakistan lost their first wicket at 105, when Williamson brought back Trent Boult in the 13th over. He bowled a slower full delivery across the stumps, and Azam went for the big shot. However, it didn’t have the necessary pace to clear the boundary and went straight into the hands of Mitchell at long-on.

It was the third 100+ run partnership of Azam and Rizwan in T20 WC, the most for any combination. Soon enough in the 14th over, Rizwan also reached his half century off 36 balls.
