Actor Dia Mirza has reacted to a news article that said human penises are shrinking because of pollution. “Now maybe the world will take #ClimateCrises and #AirPollution a little more seriously?” she tweeted while sharing the news article. 

According to the article, an environmental scientist has found that chemicals called phthalates are causing human babies to be born with malformed genitals.

Dr Shanna Swan writes that humanity is facing an “existential crisis” infertility rates as a result of phthalates, a chemical used when manufacturing plastics that impacts the hormone-producing endocrine system, reports news.sky.com.

As a result of this pollution, a growing number of babies are being born with small penises, Dr Swan further writes in the article.
