Prashant Kishor, the election strategist of TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, was caught in controversy on Saturday after his statements purportedly made during a chat on a social media platform, namely Clubhouse, went viral. This came alongside the polling in West Bengal in the fourth phase in 44 assembly constituencies.

In the leaked audio, the election strategist is purportedly said that the BJP will be elected in Bengal as per the internal survey of the Trinamool party, Amit Malviya said in a tweet. The poll strategist also purpotedly said in the audio that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee are “equally popular,” reports PTI.

The authenticity of the video clip has not been verified independently by Opoyi.

Kishor, reacting to the leaked audio tapes, told news agency ANI, “Glad BJP’s taking my clubhouse chat more seriously than words of its leaders.”

He further said that the BJP is using selective parts of the conversation, and urged them to “release the full conversation .”

“I have said this before and repeating again – BJP will not to CROSS 100 in WB. Period,” the Indian Express report quoted Prashant Kishor.

The leaked audio chat was tweeted by BJP leader Amit Malviya, as he wrote, “In a public chat on Clubhouse, Mamata Banerjee’s election strategist concedes that even in TMC’s internal surveys, BJP is winning. The vote is for Modi, polarisation is a reality, the SCs (27% of WB’s population), Matuas are all voting for the BJP!”

“BJP has a lot of workers who could have been imported from the Left parties. If we leave one or two districts, there is no other district where BJP does not have a strong cadre,” Kishor purportedly said the leaked audio chat.
