On Sunday, the couple marked the occasion by posting the first photo of her on social media.
Chopra, 39, is seen cradling Malti Marie on her chest while Jonas, 29, grips her small arm in the adorable photo.
“On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced,” the “Quantico” actor and Jonas Brothers member said in a joint statement accompanied the photo.
They added, “After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home.”
While Chopra and Jonas admitted that “every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith,” they understood in retrospect “how precious and perfect every moment is.”
“We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home,” they said. “(We) just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way.”
“Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a badass. Let’s get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you,” the post read.
Chopra and Jonas then customised the posts with their own Mother’s Day messages.
In a message to Jonas, the “Matrix Resurrections” actor, who is a first-time mother, stated, “There is no one I’d rather do this with than you. Thank you for making me a mama @nickjonas I love you. “
Meanwhile, in his post, the “Jealous” singer said to his wife, “Babe, you inspire me and every way, and you are taking to this new role with such ease and steadiness.”
“I am so grateful to be on this journey with you,” he added. “You are already an incredible mother. Happy Mother’s Day. I love you.”
Chopra and Jonas said in January that they were “overjoyed” to have had their first child through surrogacy.
They’ve been married for three years. They married in an opulent three-day ceremony in India in 2018.
They had voiced a desire to become parents in numerous interviews since then.
“It is something that I definitely want to do,” Chopra told Tatler magazine in March 2020, “I’m hoping that whenever God wills it, at the right, opportune time, it’ll happen.”
