Ranveer Singh, while recording his statement in the nude photoshoot case, claimed that one of his pictures from the photoshoot was tampered with and morphed.
He gave this statement when he was summoned by the Mumbai Police on August 29 regarding the case registered against him.

As per the tweets of ANI, the actor, while recording his statement, said someone tampered with and morphed his pictures. The tweet read, ” Mumbai Police recorded the statement of actor Ranveer Singh in the nude photoshoot case on Aug 29. As per information accessed now, the actor in his statement has claimed that someone has tampered with and morphed one of the photos of the actor”.

The 37-year-old actor got involved in a controversy after his photoshoot for Paper magazine. The internet exploded with memes and he was trolled severely for sharing nude pictures on social media.
An FIR was also registered against the Bollywood actor on July 26 based on the complaints of an office-bearer of the NGO who claimed that the nude photographs have hurt the sentiments of women.
Ranveer Singh, in his statement, told the Mumbai police that the picture in which his private parts were allegedly visible is morphed and does not belong to him. This was the particular photograph based on which the Mumbai Police had registered an FIR against the actor on charges of obscenity.
Ranveer Singh also claimed that the particular photograph was also not part of the seven photographs uploaded by him. The Mumbai police are investigating the case further and have sent that particular photograph to the forensic science laboratory to confirm whether it has been morphed.

The actor had recorded his statement on August 29 in Chembur Police station and the deputy commissioner of police, Krishna Kant Upadhyay said, “We had asked the actor to come to the police station by August 30. He visited the police station at 7:30 am and was present in the police station till 9:30 am”.
