The IPL 2022 playoffs have begun, with Gujarat Titans reaching the tournament final on Tuesday. The Royal Challengers Bangalore will meet the Lucknow Super Giants in the eliminator on Wednesday. The battle for the fourth position in the points table was intense towards the end of the league stage. RCB overcame GT by eight wickets in its final league match. After Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals in their last game, RCB became the last team to qualify for the Playoffs. Although RCB required some luck to reach the playoffs, experts feel the team is capable of defeating any opponent on its day.

Royal Challengers Bangalore might give a tough competition to other teams in the playoffs. The rest of the teams will now be scared of RCB, stated Irfan Pathan. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore had a decent campaign this year in the league stage, said Pathan. The team’s recent performance in the league stages makes them a dangerous side. They have a high chance of winning the eliminator game.

This year Royal Challengers Bangalore will be playing its third consecutive Eliminator game in TATA IPL. RCB is the team to watch since they are coming off a resounding victory in their previous match against Gujarat Titans, added Pathan.

Virat Kohli is back in form

Irfan Pathan also stressed the fact that Virat Kohli has regained his form. “He seems to have found his lost magic. His match-winning half-century against Gujarat Titans in the last league game will boost the team’s confidence. RCB is no longer a team to be underestimated,” said Pathan on ‘Cricket Live’ on Star Sports.
