Indian comedian Saloni Gaur aka %u2018Salonayyy%u2019 on Instagram on Sunday posted a reel, calling out TV media channels over their %u201Cinsensitivity%u201D in reporting the election results of West Bengal, where Mamata Banerjee’s TMC is leading and BJP is trailing.
In the video, she showed a TV news channel’s coverage of elections, where the anchor was comparing the leads of Mamata Banerjee and Narendra Modi getting oxygen, one less and other more, as per the leads in seats in West Bengal.

The anchor said, %u201CYe seaton ki oxygen, ye kise mili hai (Who is getting the oxygen of seats).%u201D Salonayyy pointed this out as India is struggling with an acute shortage of oxygen in hospitals, and several COVID-19 patients have died due to the same.

The anchor in the video says that BJP has not got oxygen while Mamata’s TMC has got oxygen on 194 seats.
As per trends, West Bengal has voted Mamata Banerjee%u2019s Trinamool Congress back to power, though she is trailing in Nandigram, the only seat she contested.
