A. Budhacharitra
B. Arthasastra
C. Mundaka Upanishada
D. Mahabharatha
Answer: Mundaka Upanishada.
The Mundaka Upanishda is an ancient Sanskrit Vedic text, which is embedded inside the Atharva Veda. It is a Mukhya (primary) Upanishad, and is listed as number five in the Muktika canon of the 108 Upanishads in Hinduism and is among the most widely-translated Upanishads.
A poetic verse style Upanishad, Mundaka Upanishad has 64 verses written in the form of mantras. These mantras are, however, not used in rituals, and are for teachings and meditation on spiritual knowledge.
It contains three Mundakams (parts), with each comprising two sections. The first defines the science of ‘Higher Knowledge’ and ‘Lower Knowledge’, asserting that it is knowledge that frees. The second part describes the nature of the Brahman, the self, the relation between the world and the Brahman and the path to know Brahman.
The third part delves further into the ideas of the second Mundakam, asserting that the state of knowing Brahman is one of freedom, fearlessness, libertion, self-sufficiency and bliss.
Some experts suggest that the Mundaka Upanishad is in line with the patheism theory, according to which, all reality is identical with divinity, or that all things compose an all-ecompassing, immanent god.
