Nifty traded in a range of 17,639.45 and 17,427.15 and there were 37 stocks advancing against 13 stocks declining on the index.

Indian Railway Finance Corporation has posted profit growth of 57 % for the nine-month ended December 31, 2021, vis-à-vis the corresponding previous period. During the period ending December 31, 2021, the company reported PAT at Rs 4,597 crore as against Rs 2,934 crore reported in the corresponding period in the previous year The company posted profit growth of 52% for Q3 FY22 at Rs 1,594 crore versus Rs 1,047 crore reported in Q3FY21.

Kaya posted consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 90.8 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2021, registering a growth of 3% over the corresponding quarter in the previous year. India business reported revenue growth of 9 % and international business declined by 2% over Q3 last year. Consolidated loss after tax and before exceptional items for the Q3FY22 stood at Rs 8.2 crore, compared to a break-even profit for the corresponding quarter last year.

The shares of Adani Wilmar were locked at the upper circuit for the second straight day, up 20% at Rs 386.25 per share on Thursday, thus also hitting a new high since its market debut on Tuesday. With the rally witnessed in the market price of Adani Wilmar, the company joins an elite group of companies having a market capitalization of Rs 50,000 crore.

Bharat Forge has posted Q3 net profit at Rs 337.3 crore versus Rs 92.7 crore and revenue was up 54.7% at Rs 1,602 crore versus Rs 1,035.7 crore on a YoY basis. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) was up 89.8% at Rs 407.7 crore versus Rs 215 crore and the margin was at 25.4 % versus 20.7% on a YoY basis.
