Bollywood actor Kajol on Monday said that her latest project ‘Tribhanga’ for OTT platform Netflix may release in January 2021.

The multi-generational story, ‘Tribhanga’, directed by actor Renuka Shahane, marks the digital debut of the six-time Film Fare Award winning actress. Kajol will star alongside Mithila Palkar, Tanvi Azmi and Kunaal Roy Kapoor.

Set in Maharashtra, the movie revolves around the lives of three women from the late 1980’s to the present day, and will be produced by Ajay Devgn Films, Banijay Group Asia and Siddharth P Malhotra’s Alchemy Films Pvt Ltd.

The ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ actor, during an Instagram Live, told fans that she was keenly awaiting reviews on the movie from the audience.

The 46-year-old said, “My next film ‘Tribhanga’ is coming out, hopefully, in January. It is a really interesting story about three women. I had a great time doing the film.”

The Padma Shri awardee further added, “I had an absolute blast. Renuka is a fabulous director. So I am looking forward to you all watching it.”

The movie has been described as a “heartwarming storyline that looks at the importance of family in everyday lives”.

Kajol, whose last appearance on the big screen was in 2020, for the historical action film ‘Tanhaji’, added that she is yet to land a new project.

“I am tentatively looking at some stuff as well. So hopefully I will have something to tell you guys by February. Look forward to it,” she added.
