Daily life was severely affected in Hyderabad as incessant rains battered several parts of the city, with the Telangana government urging people to stay home. At least 15 people were reported to be dead since Tuesday night in rain-related incidents, while the heavy rainfall led to waterlogging and flood-like situations in several parts of the city.
Severe waterlogging was reported in Hyderabad’s Ramanthapur area, like many other parts.

Due to the heavy rains, Musi River was seen flowing over Chaderghat New Bridge towards Malakpet in Hyderabad.
The Telangana government has declared holidays on Wednesday and Thursday amid the prevailing situation, ANI reported. All private institutions, offices, and non-essential services have been advised to operate from home.

In its weather forecast, the Met department said thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana on Wednesday, PTI reported.
