The Trinamool Congress, the BJP and the Left front are on a tough battle for the high stakes West Bengal elections this year. The elections will take place in eight phases for 294 seats. In this fray, two-time CM Mamata Banerjee is looking to score a hattrick, whereas PM Modi is doing his best to make BJP bloom in the state. 

The voting for all the phases will start at 7AM and end at 6PM. The counting of the votes will take place on May 2, 2021 for the eight phase West Bengal assembly elections. 

Here’s a full schedule of West Bengal Elections:

– Phase 1- March 27, 30 seats spread across the districts of Jhargram, Purulia, Bankura, Pashcim Midnapore and Purba Midnapore will go for polling in this phase. 

– Phase 2- April 1, 30 seats from the districts of South 24 Parganas, Bankura, Paschim Midnapore and East Midnapore will go for polling in this round. 

– Phase 3- April 6, 31 seats spread across the districts of Howrah, Hooghly, and South24 Parganas will vote in this phase

– Phase 4- April 10, 44 seats from Howrah, South 24 Parganas, Hugli, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar will vote in this round.

– Phase 5- April 17, 45 seats will go for polling spread over districts like Nadia, Bardhaman, Darjeeling, and Jalpaiguri.

– Phase6- April 22, 43 seats spread across the districts of North Parganas, Purbo Bardhaman, Nadia, Uttar Dinajpur will go for polls in this round.

– Phase 7- April 26, 36 seats from Dakshin Dinajpur, Kolkata South, Malda, Murshidabad, and Paschim Bardhman will vote in this round.

– Phase 8- April 29, 35 seats spread across the districts of Malda, Birhum, Murshidabad, and Kolkata North will poll in the last phase.
