PUBG is making a comeback in India, the video game developer Krafton announced on Thursday. It was banned by the government, in September last year.

South Korean video game developer, Krafton has announced a new PUBG,  renamed as battlegrounds Mobile India will be launching on mobile devices in India very soon. The game will be an all-new name and will have a revamped look.

When will PUBG be re-launched in India?

While now it is true that the game is returning to India, a specific date hasn’t been announced. Several media reports say the game could be launched this year in May or June. However, it is not confirmed yet. Krafton didn’t reveal the release date of the game but did unveil the logo.

In a press release, Krafton shared that the game will launch as a free-to-play experience on mobile devices. Krafton has planned for the game to make a comeback in India. It has cut ties with China’s Tencent for the Indian market.

%u201CKrafton will collaborate with partners to build an esports ecosystem while bringing in-game content regularly, starting with a series of India-specific in-game events at launch, to be announced later,%u201D said the company.

There will be a period of pre-registration and it’ll be played only in India. It could be played for free on smartphones. Stay tuned with us to know more about the game.
