Suyash
Prabhudessai got off to a quick start in his Royal Challengers Bangalore debut
against Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. RCB
were reeling at 50 for four, needing 217 to win, when Prabhudessai joined
Shahbaz Ahmed at the crease. The two put on a fifty-fifty stand to keep RCB at
bay.

Prabhudessai
was especially harsh on CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja, taking four and six runs
off his bowling in the 11th over. A reverse sweep over the short third was eye-catching.
He was dropped on 32 by Dwayne Bravo. Maheesh Theekshana eventually bowled him
for 34 off 18 balls. Earlier in the match, Prabhudessai pulled off a brilliant
bit of fielding at backward point to run Moeen Ali out.

After
Moeen Ali was dismissed, Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube accelerated to push CSK to
133/2 after 15 overs. The former took 33 balls to reach fifty, while the latter
took 30. Following a slow powerplay, Uthappa and the Chennai Super Kings
rebounded fast. By the end of six overs, the four-time champions were 35/1.
