The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday announced that metroman Elattuvalapil Sreedharan, who joined the party last month, will fight the polls from Kerala’s Palakkad constituency. The party will contest 115 out of 140 assembly seats in the state, and released the list of 112 candidates for the polls. The rest of the 25 seats will be left for the four ally parties of BJP. 

BJP Kerala chief K Surendran will contest from two constituencies, from Manjeshwar in Kasaragod and Konni in Pathanamthitta, said BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh. He added that former state BJP chief Kummanam Rajasekharan will contest from Nemom assembly. 

Rajya Sabha MP KJ Alphons will contest from Kanirappally assembly constituency. Singh said that Suresh Gopi will contest from Thrissur; Dr Abdul Salam will be contesting from Tirur seat and Former DGP Jacob Thomas will contest from Irinjalakuda assembly seats.
