Individualistic, unabashed, and inclusive- these are some of the common traits of both millennials and generation Z but what about fashion? We have often seen how Gen-Z has given their own twist to the fashion statements of Millennials for example quirky socks and printed pockets, with the latter, still chasing gothic trends like magnetic earrings and black nail polish.

However, with changing trends, it is kind of time for the millennials to adopt the new ways of fashion. So, loosen up a bit and try these Gen-Z accessories or fashion tips to not only improve your wardrobe but also take to the new way of living.

1. Funky accessories

Accessories have either been a hit or a miss, depending on how and where you sport them. While the magnetic earrings, black nail polish (he goth look), big belt buckles and chain hanging from the side of the jeans were a huge hit back in the day, the Gen-Z have added a bit of colour to those statements to stay up to date with the changing times. You can now sport quirky socks, printed pocket squares, silver ornaments like bracelets or necklaces, tiny sunglasses, crochet bags etc.

2. Hats, caps

Camouflage cap, logo baseball hat, duckbill cap, fedora hats among others have a touch of classic. Despite being an all-time favourite among millennials, it is time to replace them with bucket hats, dad hat, or pleat cap. The addition of the caps to your wardrobe will not only add colour to it but will also give newness to them and to your look.

3. Comfortable shoes

Ah, footwear is something that depends from person to person. However, no one can really tell what kind of shoes one should wear. Some like boots, some like sandals, some like slippers, and some like sneakers. However, irrespective of being a millennial or a Gen-Z, shoes are something that should be comfortable, durable, and unique.

4. Athleisure

Athleisure is something that is not gender-specific. And once addicted to it, you will not be able to shake it off. Irrespective of the weather, occasion, place, or time, a good athleisure outfit will not only make you feel light on your feet but also keep you breezy and cozy. Add to it maybe a wristwatch, or a bracelet and you are good to go.

This is a debate which is not going away for some time now. While the millennials say that non-torn jeans are the ones to wear, the Gen-Z believe that they are things of the past and ripped jeans are the future. Even though ripped/patched jeans are not your style of choice but you can take a leap of faith and try it once. Who knows, maybe you’ll like it and it could become your style?

So, what are you waiting for? Shuffle your millennials wardrobe and give it a touch of Gen-Z.
