The United States had recently allowed vaccinated individuals to remove masks in most indoor settings. However with the dramatic resurgence of Delta variant cases of coronavirus in the states and breakthrough infections among fully vaccinated people, following COVID protocols like masks and social distancing has become a need of the hour.

While wearing masks at all times can be uneasy and give rise to many breathing issues, there is no denying the fact that it is absolutely necessary to wear masks at some places.

In this article, we will discuss some places where one should definitely wear a mask to prevent getting infected.

Indoor spaces

Since it is difficult for air to pass through in indoor settings due to improper ventilation, you can come into contact with the virus while breathing in the same air, especially if it is a centrally air-conditioned system.

Thus, one must wear masks in indoor spaces like classrooms, offices, shopping centers, theaters, etc.

Grocery shops and shopping centres

Grocery shops and shopping centres were considered some of the germiest places even before the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic as the products available there and the surfaces are touched by several people every day.

Visits to such places may be essential but with the Delta variant, it’s crucial that masks be kept on, and if possible, double masking be followed through.

Gatherings

Masks should be kept on while attending gatherings of any kind as the presence of too many people is always an invitation for the virus.

Management of crowding may not also be possible, and hence, a mask (or double masking) would be the best possible way to keep yourself safe.

Public transports

Surfaces of public transports are touched and accessed by hundreds of people every day and thus the presence of a virus is not a big thing. One must practice social distancing and wear masks at all times while travelling on public transports.
