If you are a fashion connoisseur and planning to add some
new designs in your closet, look out for trends that are going to stay here for
long. In the time when “Home dressing” is seeing a revolution, some of the
options that can work well are headbands, minimal jewellery and interesting
necklines, says designer Roma Narsinghani.

“Home dressing is something that has picked up a lot during the quarantine.
Multiple zoom meetings have consumers opting for headbands, minimal jewellery,
and interesting necklines,” the designer told Opoyi.

“Use of earthy colours and hand-painted textiles for clothing will be seen
making the rounds of the wishlists. People are encouraged to buy local and be a
lot more self-aware about their choices,” added Narsinghani.

Jewellery will also get a lot more attention while working from home.

There will be huge emphasis to maintain a zero-waste policy, she says along
with a focus on less is more. “Romantic minimalism is a trend that will be seen
immensely. The concept of less is more will play a bigger role in clothing and
accessories,” she said.

Jewellery will also get a lot more
attention while working from home.

“I feel that statement jewellery pieces that you can wear, on an everyday basis
can always add the right amount of edge to your look. From hairpins to brooches
and even hair buns, accessories can be used to amp up your home look in an
effortless manner,” she said.

The artisanal jewellery designer has pushed the envelope further with the
launch of her Instagram AR filters that enable users to experience her new
collection, ‘GAIA’ during the lockdown.

She says that “the pandemic has been a great catalyst to aid the transition of
fashion into the digital space. Through virtual fashion shows, the new
experience of viewing a live show will be changed thoroughly, with the multiple
factions of fashion hoping to seek broader spectrums to usher in a new era of responsible
fashion in the near future. There has been a wave of uncertainty that has
gripped all industries, which also has served as a wake-up call for mankind to
become conscious about their choices,” she said.
