Elon Musk‘s Tesla, which has been working on self-driving vehicles, has a desi competition in India. A video of a man riding a pillion on a motorcycle without a driver has gone viral. Even the likes of Indian industrialist Anand Mahindra shared the video, dedicating a Kishore Kumar song.
The video shows a man riding the motorcycle -driverless – with ease. He is cruising down a road without even attempting to take control of the vehicle. A Twitter user, who first posted the video, said in the caption that Elon Musk’s idea of bringing “driverless vehicles” to India might face competition in the country.

The video with nearly 4000 retweets was reshared by Anand Mahindra. The billionaire businessman wrote the lyrics of a Hindi song as a caption.
“Love this…Musafir hoon yaaron… na chalak hai, na thikaana..” Mahindra captioned the video.
In the video, a person riding another vehicle and recording the stunt then asks him, “How is this magic done? What is this magic? Who is driving the vehicle, God?” The man smiles in agreement. He then raises one hand to make a gesture to others and get their attention.
Twitter users took no time to react to the post. “Great riding skills, sir,” one user said. Another described the rider the “most talented person” in India. Some pointed to the fact that the rider was without a helmet and urged Mahindra not to promote stunts like these.

“This is risky stunt ride. We shouldn’t appreciate such act with no preventive safety in place first. Would have appreciated a tweet, with the instructions to follow a safety disclaimer to not attempt such stunt withot wearing a riding gears,” another person tweeted.
Mahindra later put out a tweet calling out the man for not wearing a helmet.
“Yes, I stand corrected. Musafir hoon yaaron, na chaalak hai, na thikaana, na HELMET..” he tweeted.
Early in September, reports suggested that Elon Musk’s Tesla will launch fully driverless cars by 2023.
