A parked four-wheeler in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar neighbourhood on Sunday was seen swallowed by a sinkhole. The incident was captured in a video that has since gone viral. 

Mumbai Traffic Police was quoted by ANI as saying, “There was a well the place. Some people covered it with concrete slab & started parking cars over it. Incident occurred due to land subsidence following rain. No one injured (sic).”

According to NDTV, the incident occurred at the Ram Nivas society in Ghatkopar West’s Kama lane.

The society had blocked part of the well, a few years ago by doing RCC construction, where they would park the automobiles.

The partition, however, fell down owing to rain, and the car drowned.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident, as told by the officials from the Ghatkopar police station, who had arrived at the scene.
