A 10-year-old photo of a seagull eating a chip has grabbed its place in an upcoming Google ad campaign and is to feature on billboards and online adverts of the tech giant.
The moment was captured in 2011 by amateur photographer Hannah Huxford, from Cleethorpes on an iPhone 3G in Bridlington, East Yorkshire.
“It feels very surreal, seeing it on an advert is a very bizarre feeling,” Huxford said on her photo being chosen by Google, BBC News quoted.
Huxford, a car saleswoman, thought the news is a joke when she first heard about it, “I thought: ‘Oh here we go.'”
The iconic photo was clicked when Huxford and her husband had stopped for a bag and were “bombarded by herring gulls.” It was when a “cheeky chappy” gull caught Huxford’s attention and she copied the moment on her iPhone.

“This one was on the bin and was fearless. It was giving me the eye and was gulping down chips,” she said, quoted BBC News.
Now, the 10-year-old “money shot” has Google’s attention for its online advertisements and billboard features.
Google has got the license to use the photo for 30 days on billboards in England and Ireland, and for 12 months online, Huxford told BBC.
