The blue-eyed tea seller from Pakistan, who took the internet by storm four years ago after a local photographer posted his picture online, is now trending again. But this time it’s not about his good looks at all.

The viral ‘chaiwala’ Arshad Khan has now opened a cafe in Islamabad named ‘Cafe Chaiwala Rooftop’. The modern style tea stall serves 15-20 dishes along with tea. The cafe has many cultural elements including Pakistan’s famous truck art, straw tables and chairs.

Speaking to a local media, Khan said that many people suggested him to change the name of his cafe to ‘Arshad Khan’ however he retained the name saying ‘chaiwala’ is now his identity.

Notably, Khan achieved global fame after his picture went viral. He was offered several modelling and acting jobs. While he did get into the entertainment business, his passion for tea brought him back to his city to pursue a career in the food industry.

Khan used to work at Islamabad’s Sunday Bazaar. In 2016, he became an overnight Internet sensation after he was photographed at the tea stall by photographer Jiah Ali. He became quite famous for his good looks and ‘chaiwala’ was a trending hashtag at that time.
